I am currently a Sociology major at Drew University, and am hoping to work in non-profit when I graduate. School has not always been easy for me, but I feel that this will make me a good tutor. Throughout Elementary, and Middle School I had difficulty organizing my work. This included problems with time management, and an inability to efficiently write papers. I was forced to either continue to struggle, or figure out a way to overcome these obstacles. I found various ways that worked for me, such as using a planner, creating outlines for papers, or writing a paragraph each night until the paper was done. For these reasons I can relate well to a child or teen who is having similar difficulties. Since I have overcome them, I would take it as a personal challenge to help another student have the same success. I am a patient, and skilled motivator, and would be a good option to help your child if they struggle with either organization, or writing.
